 LISKEARD TOWN COUNCIL, CORNWALL
Salary Grade: LC3 39 to 42 pro rata plus Essential User’s Car Allowance outside of parish32 hours per week
Applications are invited for the post of Town Clerk of Liskeard Town Council an ancient stannary and market town with a population of approximately 8,600. The Town Council aims to be proficient and professional with its delivery of facilities and services, and strives to be an excellent employer. Currently Liskeard Town Council has 16 Councillors, 13 Part time employees, and an annual budget of £300,000 for operations. Capital expenditure on projects is in addition to this.
The Town Clerk is responsible for all aspects of the Town Council’s staff, services, facilities, administration and financial operations. The Town Council is seeking to appoint a forward thinking and proactive Town Clerk. The role also includes working in partnership with the unitary authority, local organisations and the general public.
The Town Council holds Quality Status hence the successful applicant needs to hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration or is willing to achieve this within twelve months.
